MCH Group sells India Art Fair

India, 3rd September: Earlier this month, MCH Swiss Exhibition (Basel) Limited, an MCH Group company based in Basel, Switzerland, announced the sale of its 65% stake in Seventh Plane Networks Private Limited, organiser of the India Art Fair in New Delhi, India. MCH will sell its stake to Angus Montgomery (HK) Limited. No financial details of the acquisition were disclosed.

SEEC Media revenues fall 56% in first half

Hong Kong, 30th August: SEEC Media Group, a Hong Kong-listed media company, recently announced its financial results for the first half of 2019. Revenues in the six-month period were just US$4.6 million, a decline of 56% year-on-year. However, the company managed to reduce its overall loss from the US$12.5 million recorded in the first half of 2018 down to US$6.5 million in the first half of this year.

830 exhibitors at HKTDC’s watch & clock fair

Hong Kong, 3rd September: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries, Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair featured some 830 exhibitors from 22 countries. The event was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 3rd to 7th September.

Baidu’s revenues up, profit down in Q2

Beijing, 19th August: Earlier this week, Baidu, the leading Chinese language Internet search provider, released its financial results for the quarter ended 30th June 2019. Revenues in the quarter were US$3.8 billion, a moderate increase of 1.4% year-on-year. However, excluding revenues from its divested businesses, Global DU and Du Xiaoman, the revenue increase was 6.0%. Net income in the quarter dropped 62% compared with the second quarter of 2018, down to US$351 million.
