DLG Exhibitions’ profit up 6.2% in FY2025

Shanghai, 24th April: Last week, Shanghai-listed DLG Exhibitions (formerly Shanghai Lansheng) released its financial results for the year ended 31st December 2025. Revenues in the year were US$232 million. This represents a year-on-year decrease of 1.1%.

However, net profit in 2025 grew by 6.2% over the previous year, reaching US$46 million. Diluted earnings per share for the year were RMB 0.45 (US$0.064).

In 2025, the company hosted and organised a number of international events, including four UFI-approved events. In addition, the company established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Hong Kong, serving as an international settlement, investment and operations centre. It is aimed to become a platform for the company’s international expansion and foreign investment.

Meorient’s revenues up 128% in Q1

Hangzhou, 27th April: Earlier this week, Meorient, a Chinese exhibition organiser listed in Shenzhen, released its results for the quarter ended 31st March 2026. Revenues jumped 128% year-on-year, reaching US$5.7 million.

The company narrowed its net loss from US$5.1 million in the first quarter in 2025, down to US$3.6 million this year.

The Hangzhou-based company attributed the increase in revenues and the decrease in net loss to the increase income from the exhibition business.

VNU launches VIV Select India

New Delhi, 24th April: VNU Exhibition Europe expanded its VIV Worldwide platform to India, by launching VIV Select India, to provide a platform commitment to India’s animal protein and livestock industry.

Running from 22nd to 24th April 2026, at the Yashobhoomi Convention and Expo Centre in New Delhi, the new show featured 130 exhibitors, showcasing poultry production, dairy technology, animal health, feed ingredients and additives, breeding and hatching technology, food engineering, aquaculture, and agri-tech. Some 7,100 professional visitors from 37 countries attended the show, filling an exhibition area of 10,000 m2.

The show also included conference programme, highlighting sessions in Advances in Poultry Sector and Advances in Biologicals and Vaccines.

Patrick van Rooij, Project Manager of VIV Select India, commented, “The response from the Indian industry to this first edition has been something we are genuinely proud of. Producers, integrators, technology providers and policymakers came together with a shared intent: to exchange, to learn, and to build. Due to the success of the inaugural edition, the next edition of VIV Select India will return to New Delhi, running from 21st to 23rd April 2027.

RELX: a good start for the year

RELX released its update on trading, with a good start for the year across all four business areas. The company also posted a strong underlying revenue and profit growth, and strong new sales. Within the Exhibitions business, it recorded a strong underlying revenue growth continues to be driven by the improved ongoing growth profile of its event portfolio, and good progress on value-enhancing digital initiatives. In the coming year, the company rescheduled some events in the Middle East, it is expected a strong underlying revenue growth with an improvement in adjusted operating margin over the previous year.

Macau welcomes 11m+ visitor arrivals in Q1

In the first quarter of 2026, Macau’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) recorded visitor arrivals to Macau increased by 13.7% year-on-year, reaching 11,213,904. Same-day visitors grew 20.3%, while overnight visitors were up by 4.1%. However, the average length of stay of visitors shortened by 0.1 day year-on-year, to 1.0 day. In March 2026, Macau welcomed 3,393,636 visitor arrivals, up 10.6% year-on-year.

HKTDC’s concludes Smart Lighting Expo and Lighting Fair

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) concluded its 3rd Smart Lighting Expo and 17th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair, attracting some 13,000 buyers from 114 countries and regions. Taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), running from 20th to 23rd April 2026, the two fairs featured about 900 exhibitors, highlighting lighting products and technology exchange.
