Global Exhibitions Day 2018 records big impact

Paris/Worldwide, 7th June: The third edition of Global Exhibition Day (GED) was held on 6th June 2018. GED aims to highlight the industry’s role as a driver of economic growth. According to UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, GED 2018 will be the most important day of advocacy for the exhibition world.

This year’s GED focused on two key objectives: to advocate industry issues with politicians and stakeholders and to find new ways to connect with young people in order to attract the right talent to the exhibition industry. Activities were held in 85 countries and regions on 6th June. A total of 41 GED partner associations united behind this joint advocacy campaign. On Twitter, more than four million Twitter accounts were reached using the #GED18 hashtag.
