Alibaba opens data center in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 30th October: Earlier this week, Alibaba Group’s cloud computing arm, Alibaba Cloud, opened a data center in Malaysia to serve the Southeast Asian market with the aim of providing “scalable and cost-effective cloud computing services”.

Positioned as the first global public cloud platform in Malaysia, the new data center provides Malaysian enterprises a “powerful, reliable and secure cloud platform” to build their businesses. Enterprises in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand can also subscribe to the services in Malaysia. Alibaba Cloud also has data centres in Hong Kong and Singapore.
