Informa prepares for massive September jewellery fair in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 12th August: The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair (September Fair) will take place at AWE and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Products to be showcased at AWE will include loose gems of diamonds, gemstones and pearls, running from 16th to 20th September, featuring over 1,700 exhibitors. While the show at HKCEC will run from 18th to 22nd September, showcasing more than 2,000 exhibitors of finished jewellery products, packaging, tools and equipment.

HKTDC to host five lifestyle events in August

Hong Kong, 1st August: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will open five lifestyle events later this month at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The five events are: Food Expo, Hong Kong International Tea Fair, Beauty & Wellness Expo, Home Delights Expo and International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM).

Construction begins on EXCO’s 2nd hall in Daegu

Daegu, Korea, July: Last month, Daegu City and EXCO held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin work on the ‘EXCO 2nd Exhibition Hall.’ EXCO opened in 2001 and it is the major exhibition and convention centre in Daegu, however, the venue has several wall-bound events and there is a confirmed booking of an upcoming large event – the 2021 World Gas Conference.

Hong Kong hosts 138 exhibitions in 2018

Hong Kong, 26th July: The Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association (HKECIA) has released the results of its annual exhibition survey for 2018. A total of 138 exhibitions (with a minimum gross size of 2,000 m2 of larger) were held in 2018 in Hong Kong. 88 were classified as “trade” and “trade and consumer” exhibitions. The remaining 50 exhibitions were purely “consumer” exhibitions, which were not included in the survey results.
