Ho Chi Minh City, 11th April: analytica Vietnam 2019, organised by IMAG, a subsidiary of Messe München, concluded its 10th anniversary edition earlier this month. According the organiser, analytica Vietnam 2019 was the most successful trade fair event in this series – in terms of exhibitors, space sold and trade visitors.

Mumbai, 10th April: UBM India, an Informa PLC company, opened the 7th edition of its Children Baby Maternity Expo India (CBME India) on 10th April at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. More than 100 national and international exhibitors from 10 countries representing over 450 brands participated in the event.

Seoul, 16th April: Smart Factory + Automation World, an event focused on industrial automation, was recently held at the COEX exhibition centre running from 27th to 29th March 2019 featuring over 480 exhibiting companies.

Sydney, 17th April: Sydney is set to open a new convention centre, the Infinity Convention Centre in September this year. The centre will include classroom-style space for up to 65 people, cocktail reception space for 450 people, banquets for 370 people and an auditorium able to accommodate 430 people.

Hong Kong, 13th April: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) concluded its Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and the International ICT Expo together attracting more than 100,000 buyers from 153 countries and regions. That represents an increase of 3.6% over the previous edition.

Shanghai, 15th April: Informa PLC, the world largest exhibition organiser, will launch a new event, Surfaces and Design Event China (SURFACES China), running from 11th to 13th December 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).

Hong Kong, 11th April: Yesterday, Hong Kong-based Global Sources, opened its Global Sources Consumer Electronics show at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) featuring more than 3,900 booths.

China, 10th April: Reed Exhibitions, a leading international exhibition organiser, has announced plans to rename its NEPCON SOUTH CHINA event. It will be rebranded as NEPCON ASIA in order to “better promote regional industry development and communications.”

Hong Kong, 28th March: UBM Asia, part of Informa, will launch a new security event, INSEC WORLD 2019, in Hong Kong during the National Information Security Week.

Netherlands, 4th April: ICCA, the International Congress and Convention Association, has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Senthil Gopinath. He will begin the new role in later this month.

Asia, 10th April: Heiko M. Stutzinger, the current Managing Director of VNU Exhibitions Asia-Pacific, will take on the leadership of VIV worldwide including all trade shows executed by VNU Exhibitions Europe effective 1st April 2019.

Hong Kong, 28th March: Organised by UBM Asia, an Informa PLC company, Asia’s Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair – March (3FJ) concluded last month, attracting nearly 5,500 buyers from more than 100 countries and regions. This represents 13% increase over the figure in 2018.

Manila, 27th March: Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Global-Link MP Events International have recently announced their agreement to collaborate by jointly organising the PACK PRINT PLAS Philippines event in Manila.

Kuala Lumpur, 29th March: The recently opened Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur will complete work on its final phase in September this year, adding more meeting space.

Hong Kong, 28th March: Hong Kong-based Global Sources will open its spring trade show series in Hong Kong later this month at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) featuring more than 9,000 booths. The series includes four exhibitions: Global Sources Electronics – Consumer Electronics, Global Sources Electronics – Mobile Electronics plus Startup Launchpad, Global Sources Lifestyle, and Global Sources Fashion.

Hong Kong, 29th March: Last week, SEEC Media, a Chinese B2B media group, released its financial results for the year ended 31st December 2018. Total revenues in the year were US$23 million, a decrease of 43% year-on-year. However, the company narrowed its net loss to US$16 million, compared with a loss of US$32 million recorded in 2017.

Beijing, 22nd March: CCID Consulting, an IT research and information service provider in China, recently announced its financial results for the year ended 31st December 2018. The company reported that its revenues increased by 24% reaching US$24 million. Net profit in the year was US$4.9 million – representing growth of 77% compared with the same figure in 2017. Diluted earnings per share in 2018 were RMB 0.041 (US$0.0060).
