Shanghai, 5th July: Chinaplas – the International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries will move to a new venue in 2018. Next year’s edition will be held at Shanghai’s mega venue, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) (NECC).

Guangzhou, June: The Asia Pool & Spa Expo, an industry trade show serving the Chinese swimming pool, spa, sauna, bath, and water park industries, recently concluded in Guangzhou.

Kuala Lumpur, 4th July: Construction on the Sabah International Convention Centre is expected to be completed by the end of 2018 and the venue is scheduled to be in operation by January 2019.

Hangzhou, 28th June: Earlier this week, China’s largest e-commerce company, Alibaba Group, announced it will invest approximately US$1 billion in the Lazada Group. The move will serve to increase its stake from the current position of 51% up to 83%.

Hong Kong, 26th June: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will launch a new event next month. The Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and run from 21st to 25th July.

Hong Kong, 27th June: Earlier this week, Hong Kong-listed Pico Far East Holdings announced its interim results for the six months ended 30th April 2017. Revenues were US$220 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16% compared the same period last year.

Shanghai, 13th June: Metal + Metallurgy China 2017, positioned as Asia’s largest exhibition serving the metal and metallurgical industries, was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 13th to 15th June.
