Deutsche Messe buys digital events in Australia

Hannover/Sydney, 26th September: International event organiser, Deutsche Messe has announced that the company has acquired three digital events in Australia and New Zealand from The Eventful Group, an Australian event organiser. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

The three acquired events are: HR Innovation & Tech Fest in Sydney, Legal Innovation & Tech Fest in Sydney, and HR Innovation & Tech Fest in Auckland. The events are all held annually and include conference, exhibition and sponsor elements. Following the acquisition, Deutsche Messe’s Australian subsidiary, Hannover Fairs Australia (HFA) will manage the events.

Tim Bostridge, Managing Director of HFA, remarked, “These events are built to deliver great learning and networking outcomes for specific groups of industry-based technology users, suppliers and innovators. The team that has built these events have embedded themselves within each industry sector and achieved fantastic engagement to ensure that the content delivered both within the conference program and the display exhibition is up to the minute. We are delighted to welcome them into our business and to help grow the Tech Fest events which are superbly positioned in the market.”

The next HR Innovation & Tech Fest (HRAU) in Sydney will be held from 18th to 19th November 2019 at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). Launched in 2014, HRAU targets at HR managers at service providers and recruiting agencies. The event covers HR development, recruitment, and accounting systems.

The next Legal Innovation & Tech Fest (LTF) will be held in April 2020 in Sydney. LTF was established in 2016, targeting lawyers and law firms as well as firms providing training and education services.
