Shanghai, 24th May: SIAL China, one of the largest food trade shows in Asia, concluded its 20th edition at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) last week. This year’s event covered a total of 199,500 m2 – up 23% compared with the previous edition.
Organised by Comexposium, SIAL China 2019 was held from 14th to 16th May. It featured a total of 4,300 exhibitors and over 117,000 professional visitors to the three-day show, representing a year-on-year increase of 26% and 7%, respectively. The show featured four exhibitor zones: Meats, Dairy, Wines and Beverages.
Jim Liu, CEO of SIAL China, commented, “We have received very positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors on the expanded dedicated zones, professional events and scale of SIAL China 2019. Expanding the expo 23% to 199,500 m2 allowed SIAL China to accommodate more exhibitors, which in term attracted more professional visitor than ever before.”
The next edition of SIAL China will return to SNIEC running from 13th to 15th May 2020.
