Beijing, 13th December: IBTM China, part of Reed’s IBTM’s portfolio of meetings and events industry trade show, announced plans to expand its hosted buyer programme at the 2019 edition.
IBTM China 2019 will take place at China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing running from 28th to 29th August. It is expected that more than 380 exhibitors will meet with some 400 hosted buyers at pre-arranged meetings. IBTM China estimates that more than 3,500 visitors will attend the show during the two-day run.
Reed will introduce a new “Experience Zone” at the 2019 event where selected exhibitors will be featured in “immersive themed environments” in order to interact with VIP visitors. According to the organiser, eight new speaker slots will also be added to the programme covering four key themes.
Nicole Ci, Project Manager, IBTM China, stated, “We have ambitious plans to grow the event this year, including increasing hosted buyer numbers. The market here in China continues to boom and as well as an appetite for a bigger event, there’s huge demand for on-site education sessions. As a result, we’ve almost doubled the number of speaker sessions this year to 18.”
