JETRO Bangkok signs LOI with CEBIT ASEAN

Bangkok, 10th July: Earlier this week, JETRO Bangkok and CEBIT ASEAN Bangkok signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to foster the partnership and collaboration between the two organisations.

CEBIT ASEAN, the ASEAN edition of the technology and digital industry trade show, CEBIT, will be held from 18th to 20th October 2018 at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok. As part of the “JETRO Innovation Program” (JIP), Japanese start-ups will be encouraged to expand their businesses in Thailand.

The LOI is designed to strengthen the business alliances in Thailand between Thai and Japanese companies, which is in line with JETRO’s three key priorities in Thailand: upgrading industrial competitiveness, activation of the local economy, and increasing the globalization of Thai companies.

Hiroki Mitsumata, President, JETRO, commented, “JETRO is committed to supporting digital industry development contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). We expect to see this collaborative effort leading to new and innovative business partnerships between Thailand and Japan.”
