Hong Kong, 22nd June: Last week, Hong Kong-listed Pico Far East Holdings announced its interim results for the six months ended 30th April 2018. Revenues were US$292 million – representing year-on-year growth of 34%. Profit in the first half increased slightly, by 3.4%, reaching US$16 million. Diluted earnings per share in the six-month period were HK$0.1037 (US$0.013).
More than 85% of Pico’s revenues were generated from its exhibition & event marketing services business (US$250 million). This represents a large increase of 42% year-on-year. The remaining revenues were generated from its museum, themed environments, interior & retail business (US$22 million), the visual branding experiences business (US$18 million), and the conference & show management business (US$2.3 million).
Revenues in the museum, themed environment, interior & retail business grew by 5.6%; however, the conference & show management business dropped by 25%. The visual branding experiences business results were flat.
