India, 21 March: International exhibition organiser, NürnbergMesse, will organise three woodworking trade fairs in India, Indiawood, Delhiwood and Mumbaiwood, expanding NürnbergMesse India’s portfolio to 15 trade fairs.
The three Indian fairs will join with the Nürnberg-based exhibition, HOLZ-HANDWERK, to form a new international product family with the theme of “woodworking trade fairs.” Previously organised by PDA Trade Fair, NürnbergMesse expects the three fairs to bring together 1,500 exhibitors and 90,000 visitors - with a total gross exhibition area of more than 85,000 m2.
The Indian woodworking and furniture industry generates revenues of around US$20 billion every year and employs more than 300,000 people. NürnbergMesse maintains that these three shows will allow them to more effectively serve the market in India and beyond.
CEO of NürnbergMesse, Peter Ottmann, commented, “The ‘3 plus 1’ formula takes us to the next stage: Europe’s leading trade fair for the wood processing trades and the three leading woodworking fairs in India create a strong quartet for success as we launch our latest product family.”
