Hong Kong, 6th April: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) concluded its Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) attracting more than 20,500 buyers from 114 countries and regions.
Running from 6th to 9th April, the Lighting Fair featured over 1,350 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, including first time exhibitors from Canada, India, Macau and Malaysia. According to the HKTDC, buyers from the U.S., China, Taiwan, India, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia recorded significant increases.
This year’s Lighting Fair featured four new zones: Horticultural Lighting, Residential Lighting, Technical Lighting, and Urban & Architectural Lighting. Other highlights included the Hall of Aurora which showcased high-quality lighting products and technologies; and Smart Lighting & Solutions Zone, featuring the latest smart and remote-control lighting systems, accessories and fixtures.
HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau, commented, “In response to the market trend, the Smart Lighting & Solutions Zone returned to the fair to showcase to global buyers the latest smart and remote-control lighting systems, accessories and fixtures. The topic of smart lighting was also covered in the seminars and forums held during the fair to help Hong Kong companies better grasp the latest developments in smart lighting technology.”
