HKTDC’s FILMART features 850+ exhibitors

Hong Kong, 19th March: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) opened its 22nd edition of the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART) this week, featuring more than 850 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions.

Running from 19th to 22nd March, FILMART was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). More than 8,700 buyers attended the four-day event, representing an increase of 9% over last year’s event.

The two new themes of this year’s FILMART were the Doc World and the Global Filming Support. Doc World showcased the latest documentary productions for more than 200 exhibitors, while the Global Filming Support highlighted business opportunities presented by various filming incentives from 14 exhibitors from eight countries and regions.

Professional seminars, new film launches and networking activities were held during the event for exhibitors and buyers in order to facilitate exchanges and business matching. Meanwhile, several major film and TV production companies announced new projects during the event.
