Tokyo, 20th February: GL Events, global event services company, announced that the company will establish a presence in Japan reflecting its increasing strategic focus on Japan as well as the Asia Pacific region.
Through its presence in Japan, the new agency will focus on providing services targeting major international sporting events. GL Events operates three core divisions: GL Events Live, GL Events Exhibitions and GL Events Venues. GL Events Live provides services for a wide range of events and organisers. GL Events Exhibitions manages a portfolio of more than 300 proprietary shows and events. GL Events Venues manages a network of 40 international venues.
GL Events Japan will assist its clients during the entire event planning process by helping them to define their strategy, event design and execution of the event plan. The opening of the new agency in Japan follows the announcement in December 2017 that GL Events together with Maeda Corporation, a Japanese construction services provider, were selected as the preferred bidder to operate the Aichi International Exhibition Center (AIEC).
