Over 280 delegates gather in Kuala Lumpur for UFI’s Asia Conference

Kuala Lumpur, March: Last week, UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, held the 13th edition of its UFI Asia-Pacific Conference in Kuala Lumpur, attracting more than 280 delegates from 20 countries and regions.


Hosted by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), this year’s conference was held at the Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Running from 1st to 2nd March, this year’s conference featured the theme, “New Approaches, Different Angles,” which included presentations, panel sessions and committee meetings. Prior to the opening of the conference, UFI also organised an Education Forum with the theme, “HR Managers as Business Partners.” UFI’s members also gathered for a meeting of UFI’s Asia-Pacific Chapter and an Association Committee meeting.


At the conclusion of this year’s conference, it was announced that the 2019 edition of the UFI Asia-Pacific Conference will be held in Japan for the first time. Tokyo Big Sight will host the conference on 14th and 15th March 2019. There will also be an UFI Educational Forum held on 12th and 13th March next year.
