Messe Düsseldorf China reports strong results

Shanghai, December: Messe Düsseldorf China (MDC) and Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai (MDS) reported positive results in 2017 and management remains optimistic about the outlook for 2018.

 

In China, MDS organised nine trade shows and conferences in 2017 featuring total gross exhibition space of about 364,000 m2. Some 6,000 national and international exhibitors showcased their products at MDS’ events and they attracted over 240,000 visitors and buyers.

 

Internationally, MDC supported 31 leading shows hosted by the Messe Düsseldorf Group in nine countries and about 3,000 Chinese companies participated with the aim of developing their business in the global markets. MDC also held its first show in Hong Kong, ProWine Asia, in May 2017. That event had over 310 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions. The show recorded 12,164 visitors from 67 countries and regions.

 

Axel Bartkus, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, commented, “The development and results this year reflect upon the extensive brand-building we’ve done for our shows in China. Our portfolio never looked stronger with exciting developments across the industries we touch.”

 

In 2018, MDS three biennial shows scheduled: All in Print (AIP), China International Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition (COS+H) and Wire & Tube China, which should serve to boost the company’s performance in the coming year.
