Mumbai, 4th October: The fifth edition of IFAT India was held from 26th to 28th September 2017 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Mumbai attracting 6,765 visitors. That represents year-on-year growth of roughly 30%.
IFAT India 2017 showcased 184 exhibitors, a 28% increase over the previous year. This year’s edition covered approximately 8,100 m2. Products categories covered by the show included water, sewage, refuse and recycling. According to Messe München, 54% of exhibitors were international coming from 18 countries – including Germany, China, Switzerland, Austria and the U.S.
Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe München India, stated, “Following the serious water shortage of 2016, this year an exceptionally strong monsoon led to catastrophic flooding in large parts of India. Added to this is the problem of waste blocking water flow in the sewers. Modern solutions for efficient management of water and sewage, and also sustainable recycling technologies, were therefore in especially high demand at IFAT India 2017.”
The next edition of IFAT India will return to BCEC running from 15th to 17th October 2018.
