Hong Kong, 22nd September: Mega Expo (formerly known as Kenfair), a Hong Kong-based exhibition and event organiser, announced its financial results for the year ended 30th June 2017. The company reported total revenues of US$13 million – down 36% compared to the previous year. The company reduced its net loss to US$5.03 million compared with a loss of US$8.7 million in 2016.
According to Mega Expo, the company held three trade fairs during the year: IGJ, a new outdoor exhibition in September 2016 and its Mega Show Series in October 2016 which resulted in the decrease in total revenues.
Revenues generated from its Hong Kong business decreased 41% year-on-year, down to US$12 million. As a result of the decline in its revenues, the company’s management intends to target alternative sources of income in China.
