New Delhi, 4th September: UBM India, a UBM Asia subsidiary, hosted the 6th edition of the Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair (DJGF) from 9th to 11th September 2017 at Pragati Maidan. The exhibition featured over 280 exhibitors from around the region.
The three-day show featured exhibitors including: jewellery wholesalers, retailers, importers and exporters, jewellery manufacturers, diamond, gemstone, pearl supporters and traders, precious metal and jewellery mounting traders and supporters, and representative from trade and government organisations. The National Institute of Diamond and Gems and Design Academy of India also hosted a seminar during the exhibition this year.
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India, remarked, “Despite a slight slowdown in the jewellery sector after demonetisation and GST rollout, the jewellery industry is expected to register a 10% growth in the current fiscal, especially during the festive season, that is slated to set in earlier this year. The Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair, just prior to the season will act as a ready reckoner for trends, innovations, and insights, and help the industry take advantage of this growth.”
