Alibaba to help Mexican SMEs

Hangzhou, 6th September: Last week, Alibaba Group, China’s leading e-commerce company, and Mexico’s Ministry of Economy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreeing to promote Mexican products.

Under the terms of the agreement, Alibaba will help Mexican small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to expand into international markets through its e-commerce platform. Alibaba will assist with logistics and payment platforms for cross-border e-commerce transactions of Mexican SMEs. Alibaba will also provide specialized training focused on e-commerce, digital payments, logistics and analytics to help Mexican SMEs growth their business.

Alibaba Group’s Executive Chairman, Jack Ma, commented, “Alibaba is committed to inspiring, motivating and enabling SMEs from around the world to grow and thrive through e-commerce and the use of technology. We are delighted to help promote cross-border trade with Mexico through this MoU. We view our cooperation as a way to energize economic development in both countries.”
