Malaysia, 20th April: Earlier this month, Malaysia held the seventh edition of its China Roadshow in Beijing to promote Malaysia as a preferred corporate meetings and incentives destination to the Mainland Chinese market. The Roadshow also visited other major cities including Shanghai (20th April), Chengdu (24th April) and Guangzhou (27th April).
In 2016, Malaysia welcomed close to 30,000 participants from the corporate meeting and incentive sector in China, contributing nearly US$100 million of economic impact in Malaysia.
Datuk Zulkefli Hj. Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), stated, “Malaysia’s unique offerings including state-of-the-art convention venues, a wide choice of 4 and 5 star hotels, stunning scenery, impeccable service, world-class dining, duty-free shopping, diverse culture and rich heritage are a strong attraction for the Chinese. I am pleased to see the continued positive and overwhelming response from China’s corporate meeting and incentive planners.”
